Ulrich Claessen New Member of the Board of Executives
Sachseln/OW. – Dr. Ulrich Claessen, manager of the development department has been appointed as a new member of the board of executives of the maxon motor Group. Dr. Claessen is a member of the Board per beginning of 2008. Further members of the Board are graduate engineer Armin Lederer, majority shareholder Dr. Karl-Walter Braun and graduate engineer Eugen Elmiger. Within the board Dr. Claessen is responsible for Research & Development as well as Quality Management.
Ulrich Claessen joined maxon last year. Before this the 52 year old managed the Centre for Micro-Robotics at the Centre Suisse d’Electronique et de Microtechnique S.A. (CSEM) in Alpnach, Switzerland. He has great experience in the industry; amongst others he had a leading function at ABB Traffic Systems and Adtranz.
The maxon motor Group, which has now more than 1,500 full-time employees, will close the financial year 2007 with a new record result. The turnover increase is based exclusively on inner growth. The figures will be published in mid 2008.
